The Pediatric Neurology group functions as a national and international referral center and conducts clinical and laboratory investigations regarding neurocutaneous diseases, developmental and mental disorders, perinatal neurology, neurometabolic diseases, and inherited and viral degenerative diseases. It plans to 1) enhance its laboratory facilities and clinical database, 2) increase the number of referrals from abroad, 3) maintain in vitro and experimental studies on the pathogenesis and treatment of developmental-perinatal neurological conditions, 4) colaborate with basic medical science departments in our university, and 5) train young researchers with the contribution of international support.
